BGG... Oftewel Bij Geen Gehoor. Oftewel het verkrijgen van een Credential.

Uiteraard kunnen we een Credential krijgen in Sevilla, maar omdat we vanaf Cadiz starten is het natuurlijk mooier (lees aparter) om een Credential vanuit Cadiz te krijgen en bij te houden.

Eerst heb ik met de vraag of en waar ik een Credential in Cadiz kan krijgen gemaild met Juan Carlos Rodríguez Rodríguez, of iets korter "piru". Piru is een MTB'r uit de omgeving van Cadiz en heeft een behoorlijk informatieve website. Piru antwoordde

Dear Mr. Wijnacker:

There is no a place in Cadiz to make a credential because you can make your own credential. I have done it every time I have gone there. You only have to get your credential checked (or posted, I don´t know how it is said) where you start the first track.

Ik gaf nog niet op en heb 2x gemaild via het algemene email adres van Asociación de Amigos del Camino de Santiago en Cádiz, met een simpel berichtje. 2 keer een leesbevestiging ontvangen, maar geen antwoord.

Dus "Bij Geen Gehoor" dan maar de raad van Piru opgevolgd en zelf aan de slag met het maken van een Credential. Dat lukte aardig totdat ik het volgende berichtje ontving vanuit m'n lidmaatschap van deze yahoo group.

Deze werd door de moderator van de group William Marques beantwoord met

"I may have misunderstood you but I can understand and in many ways
applaud your desire to do the camino in a non-religious manner if
that is your belief. Do not reject using all the refugios though,
while some are provided by monasteries and confraternities others are
provided by the local council. You may find that when you are on the
way you feel comfortable using this type of accommodation.

You will be able to get stamps at tourist offices, council offices,
local police, hostels and hotels and when you get to Spain even bars
as well as refugios and churches of course.

Dus eind goed al goed: Ik heb de credential van de yahoo group opgesnort en ga die gebruiken! Ziet er prima uit!

Het "officieel" maken de credentials door een officiele instantie in Cadiz is ene leuke opdracht voor de dinsdag, 29 april.
